Check eligibility before trying to buy AI credits

Google currently limits additional AI credit purchases to eligible Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra members. Google AI Plus members cannot buy them. Purchases are unavailable in Japan, and Google also excludes Google One memberships billed through a third party, Pixel Pass, or Apple billing. Access to Flow, Antigravity, and other supported uses depends on the product’s regional availability.

Before looking for Get AI credits, confirm that the signed-in Google account is the plan manager, the membership name is Pro or Ultra, the billing channel is eligible, and the country or region is supported. Do not confuse monthly credits included with the plan with extra purchased credits. Each product has its own limits, and a general Gemini usage cap is not automatically the same thing as an AI credit balance.

How to make a one-time Google AI credit purchase

Sign in to Google One and open the AI credits page. Select Get AI credits, choose one of the amounts offered to the account, review the payment prompts, and select Buy. Google’s current help page uses 2,500, 5,000, and 20,000 credits as examples, but the actual packages, price, currency, and tax must be confirmed in the live checkout. This guide does not invent a universal price.

Before submitting, verify the Google account, plan, credit amount, payment method, and that the order is one-time. Save the receipt and open AI credits activity to confirm the added balance. Credits may expire after the period disclosed when they are acquired, so check the applicable terms rather than assuming a purchased balance lasts forever.

Set up, change, or cancel auto-reload

Auto-reload purchases a selected amount when the balance falls below a configured threshold. Google requires the user to be at least 18 and to complete an AI credit purchase before enabling it. After a purchase, find Make it automatic on the confirmation screen or AI credits page, choose Set up auto-reload, select an amount, review the terms, and agree to purchase. Google currently says auto-reloads are limited to five per day and trigger notifications.

To manage the feature, return to the AI credits page, find Auto-reload is active, select Manage, and review the entry under Payments & subscriptions. To change the amount, Google’s current instruction is to cancel the existing plan and create a new one. To stop it, select Cancel plan and confirm. Canceling auto-reload does not cancel the underlying Google AI Pro or Ultra membership.

Check balances, activity, and missing purchased credits

The AI credits activity page shows the remaining total plus dated additions and deductions by category, such as Flow or Antigravity. It is the best starting point for a purchase that appears missing or for explaining unexpected usage. Different products and models consume different amounts. Google says a failed AI tool activity should not ultimately reduce the remaining balance, although the restored amount may take time to appear.

When purchased credits do not show, verify the Google account, successful receipt, and activity entry before refreshing Google One and the target app. Do not immediately place the same order again; delayed display could later leave two purchases. Family sharing, Flow, and Antigravity boundaries

Eligible AI credits can be pooled with a Google One family group when family sharing is enabled, but only the plan manager can buy more credits or change the membership. Family members cannot make separate top-up purchases. The activity experience can show each member’s total use without exposing every individual action, and combined individual and family memberships can have different refresh dates.

Google currently supports credits for Flow and Antigravity where those products are available, with Japan excluded.
